Museum goers
The museum goers project began by chance after various trips back and forth between London and Palermo over a one year period. We often visited different museums in order to stay warm in winter or to keep cool in summer.
I began to notice a visual interaction between visitors and museum pieces, as if the pieces came to life, trying to speak to the visitors. Example, “What are you looking at?”, “Giddy up…move along lady”.
Museum goers is a 1 year photography project captured in black and white and began in 2018.
“What are you looking at?” The Meroë Head, or Head of Augustus from Meroë, Sudan. British Museum, London.
“Giddy up…move along lady” The Armento Rider, bronze statuette of a warrior on horseback. British Museum, London.
