Photography Challenge 31 Days, 31 Photos

19 August is World Photography Day so to help inspire your creative process Domestika is hosting another #31days31Photos challenge! Frame, focus and shoot.

The first World Photography Day was held on August 19, 2010. A curated online photograph gallery launched the event, showcasing the works of 270 photographers, and viewing hits came from over 100 countries. This event marked the first official World Photography Day.

The day is held 19th August as it’s the date in 1839 that the government in France purchased the patent for the Daguerreotype process. The French government called the invention of the Daguerreotype process a free gift to the world.

How to participate in the photography challenge

  • take a photo inspired by the corresponding topic
  • post your photo of the day on Instagram with the hashtags #31days31photos #f11collective and tag @domestika_en
  • tag another friend who likes photography so they can join the challenge

Month of August, share one photo each day:

For this challenge I choose to shot images with a mobile phone and only photos captured during the month of August 2023. An exception to the rule was photo number 12 Someone you love (photo from archive), as my daughter was on holidays in a different country with her husband.
